Blog

A Reset

Update #2:

This past week started off on a low note, but ended up on a positive one. Remember those goals from my first post? If not you can read them here: www.jordanneel.com/blog/myexperiment

Yeah well I wasn't able to complete any of them. Now I know that you're thinking, and being lazy was not the reason. In fact, it was actually the opposite. Well sort of.

On Monday, I had a realization that I summed up in this Instagram post.

After that, if I wasn't in class or a meeting, I was doing homework. I went into my professor's office hours to get the help I needed to complete my Mixed Reality's coding assignment which you can see here. This is made using C# and I had this amazing moment where I finally felt like I understood how computer programming works. I was later able to use this box as an augmented reality game object through the use of my computer's webcam. I'll keep you posted on all of the crazy cool things we do in this class for sure.

On Friday, one of my friends, Nichol, defended her honors thesis on "Cinderella and Her 'Faux Feminist' Contemporary Retellings." She was amazing. As always, I documented the experience.

On Saturday, Nichol's parents took us, along with our other friends, to The Lantern Festival where we spent the day hanging out and enjoying the time we had left with Nichol before she left to go study abroad in Germany for the semester.

Which brings us to today, Sunday. I have been working all day on the two essays I have due tomorrow, I have my entire week planned out, and I'm ready to see what a week of not playing catch up feels like.

My goal for this week:

  • Follow my schedule
