Filming

I flew my drone 400ft in the air and pointed the camera straight down. I recorded 5 minutes of 4K footage using manual settings. I used the “Tripod” mode to keep the drone as stable as possible.

Stabilizing and Exporting Frames in AE

Using After Effects, I was able to manually track and stabilize the footage to eliminate any natural drift. I then rendered out over 1,000 video stills to bring into Photoshop.

Using Photoshop to Blend the Images

Using Photoshop I blended the images using the minimum stacking mode. This allowed all of the motion to be rendered as dark streaks.
